South Australia State Nominated Occupation List

The latest South Australia State Nominated Occupation List has been released. The State’s focus will be driving economic growth and job creation for the state through the Migration Program and supporting businesses to acquire the skills they need throughout the State’s economic recovery.
Below are the requirements for some of the common occupations for South Australian Graduates (SA Graduate Pathway).

Accountant (General)
190/491 Eligibility

• You must have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, and
• Currently working in your nominated or closely related occupation for the last 12 months in South Australia.
• You may only be offered 190 nomination if you are claiming points for Australian work experience in your SkillSelect Expression of Interest.

Civil Engineer
190/491 Eligibility

• Have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, and
• 190 eligibility - Currently working in your nominated or closely related occupation for the last 12 months in South Australia; or
• 491 eligibility - Currently working in your nominated or closely related occupation for the last 3 months in South Australia.

Chef
190/490 Eligibility

• Have completed a commercial cookery qualification, and
• 190 eligibility - Currently working in your nominated occupation for the last 12 months in outer regional South Australia; or
• 491 eligibility - Currently working in your nominated occupation for the last 12 months in Greater Adelaide or 3 months in outer regional South Australia.
• You may be considered for 190 nomination if you are working at least 35 hours per week or 70 hours per fortnight for the last 12 months in Greater Adelaide.

Cook

491 Eligibility

• Have completed a commercial cookery qualification, and
• Currently working in your nominated or closely related occupation for the last 3 months in outer regional South Australia

Note: This occupation is only available in outer regional South Australia unless you are applying through the Talent and Innovators program.

Marketing Specialist
190/491 Eligibility

• Have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, and
• Currently working in your nominated or closely related occupation for the last 3 months in South Australia.
