Latest EOI Update before fiscal year of 2018/2019

For the month of May, the number of invitations issued for 189 and 489 visas have not changed from April's. 100 subclass 189 and 10 subclass 489 visa invitations were issued.

71% of the quota for pro-rata occupations has now been issued. Therefore, it is unlikely the quota will be met this 2018/19 financial year.

Non-Pro-Rata Occupation Score:

The non-pro rata occupation score for 189 visas remain at 80 points, but waiting times are at least 3 months.

489 Visa Points Score

Applicants applying under the 489 visa still require only 85 points. Waiting times under the 489 visa are currently at least 2 months.

Pro-rata occupation:

Proportional occupations are classified as occupations where the demand for the place exceeds the available location. These occupations usually score higher than non-pro rata occupations.
